New Balance’s contemporary 247 model has cooled off considerably, allowing several of the footwear brand’s other models to catch some shine over the last little while. Although, with that in mind, New Balance appears ready to move the aforementioned model forward, releasing images of a new variant called the MS247v2.
The new rework adheres to the sleek styling of its earlier predecessors with slight adjustments made here and there. The upper — dressed in varying shades of grey — takes on a mixed material makeover, teaming elements of nubuck, suede, and mesh alongside one another. Rounding out the new rendition is a REVlite sole unit, which provides a comfy footbed and optimal ground absorption. Priced at ¥17,000 JPY (approximately $155 USD), this New Balance MS247v2 model will make its debut on June 15 at select retailers.
In other footwear news, adidas Originals and The Whitaker Group released a racing-inspired NMD.
