adidas Originals and The Whitaker Group Release a Racing-Inspired NMD
For those that like going fast.
The earlier teased The Whitaker Group x adidas Originals NMD Racer receives further visuals just days before its official release. Inspired by racing circuits, but also the allure of supercars, the special NMD Racer hints at a number of details that is sure to appease most car enthusiasts.
Starting from the adidas Primeknit upper, an embroidered “motion blur” pattern can be found at the medial, lateral, and toe portions of the shoe. Blending in with the knitted uppers is a signature BOOST midsole in white, complete with a tonal EVA insert. Other details that reinforce the racing theme is “The Whitaker Car Club” label at the heel and checkerboard motif on the insole. Also worth mentioning is the contrasting use of a full-grain leather heel counter — giving the sneaker a more premium look.
Those interested in The Whitaker Group x adidas Originals NMD Racer can expect to find them launching on two separate dates — with an earlier June 8 launch at all Whitaker Group boutiques; Social Status (Charlotte, NC), APB Store (Greenville, SC), A Ma Maniere (Atlanta, GA), and Prosper (Jersey City, NJ), while a global launch will take place on June 9.
