Lil Yachty Signs Deal With Universal Music Publishing
Looks like his deal just got more “amazing.”
Lil Yachty has recently signed a deal with Universal Music Publishing, HitsDailyDouble reported over the weekend. UMPG Chairman and CEO Jody Gerson reveals the reason behind their decision in a statement, “Lil Yachty has proven to be a standout recording artist and songwriter, with a talent for delivering songs with catchy hooks. He’s brave and unapologetic about his artistry. We’re happy to be working with Coach K and Pee on another great artist from the Quality Control family.”
Last year, Yachty has revealed that he did not know who his publishing is signed to. “I don’t think I signed my publishing,” said Yachty. “I don’t know who my publishing is signed to. I really don’t.” He also stated in his debate with Joe Budden on Everyday Struggle that he didn’t know whether or not he was signed to a 360 record deal.
