Converse Drops the Chuck Taylor 1970 With a Nubuck Update
Keeping things clean.
Converse’s Chuck Taylor ’70 has been one of the brands favorite models, making the classic shoe more comfortable with a lunarlon insole. The latest release is the tonal nubuck pack, coming in three colorways — there’s a black, grey and navy edition respectively.
Using the low-top oxford model throughout, the shoes are the ideal summer beater. The Converse Chuck Taylor ‘70s nubuck pack are available now at Haven’s web store, costing $79 USD.
In related news, the last 1970 to receive an update was the Dr. Woo model, which used an intricate embroidery pattern on the upper. There was even a literary reference, with the design inspired by Mary Howitt’s classic poem, The Spider and the Fly.
