'Billionaire Boys Club' Is This Summer's 'The Wolf of Wall Street'
Starring Ansel Elgort and Taron Egerton.
Just like Martin Scorsese’s The Wolf of Wall Street, the black bio-pic comedy of Jordan Belfort’s life, this summer’s Billionaire Boys Club is hoping to cash in on the same hype. The film tells the real life story of Los Angeles investment group established by Joseph Henry Gamsky back in 1983, and just like The Wolf of Wall Street, Billionaire Boys Club dissects the financial schemes that made their masterminds first rich in the first place, and then takes a look at how they lost it all.
The film reunites Ansel Elgort and Kevin Spacey of Baby Driver who are then joined by Taron Egerton of Kingsman fame, Emma Roberts, Billie Lourd, Cary Elwes and Suki Waterhouse. Even with Spacey’s sexual harassment cases, writer-director James Cox decided to leave the actor in the film. Watch for Billionaire Boys Club to hit select theaters on July 19.
