Valentino Premieres Chunky "Bounce" Runner for Spring/Summer 2018
More heavyweight luxury running shoes.
Following the luxury label’s most recent run of quirky sneakers, Valentino dips its toe into the chunky runner game with its Spring/Summer 2018 Bounce Sneaker. The fashion house has showcased heavy-duty sneakers before, but this attempt may be Valentino’s most straightforward take on the clunky runny. Still, the shoe disrupts conventional design with a host of contrasting colors and textiles. A monotone camo pattern appears throughout the mesh upper, with suede and plastic panels elevated by colorful orange and pink accents. A thick black and white midsole grants the shoe unmistakable heft, with Valentino branding printed on the sneaker’s heel.
