Todd Snyder Drops Limited New Balance 998 in "Sunset Pink"
Inspired by both Palm Springs and pocket squares.

Menswear designer Todd Snyder and New Balance have collaborated on earth-toned sneakers in the past, and the pair look to keep the streak going with a “Sunset Pink” 998, influenced by evenings spent at Snyder’s favorite getaway, Palm Springs. Offering Snyder’s preferred brown detailing on the upper, the rugged shade is contrasted with warmer pink hues on the toe and tongue. The juxtaposition is intentional according to Snyder: “In traditional menswear, a dose of unexpected color makes for a really dapper, unique look. A bright sneaker like the NB1 Sunset Pink can function as the modern equivalent of a pocket square or tie — an unexpected counterpoint that brings it all together.” A speckled midsole, white outsole and tonal laces complete the colorway.
Only 300 iterations of the shoe will be made available through Todd Snyder’s website, so move quickly.
