Questlove and Prince's Estate Announce '4U: A Symphonic Celebration of Prince' Orchestral Tour
The shows to feature a live orchestra that will perform Prince classics.
With Prince’s first posthumous album currently in the works, the legendary singer’s estate has just announced a new partnership with Roots drummer Questlove that will see the Purple One’s catalogue transformed into a full-fledged orchestral tour. According to Rolling Stone, the concerts will feature the Wolf Trap Orchestra, a live band and several vocalists who will perform deep cuts and classics from Prince’s fabled catalogue.
Set to kick off this fall, the “4U: A Symphonic Celebration of Prince” tour will be curated by Questlove himself and make stops in Washington D.C., Atlanta, Brooklyn, Nashville, Chicago, Orlando, Dallas, Houston and more before wrapping up in Kansas City on October 21.
