A Closer Look at the Aries x New Balance 990v3
To celebrate the launch of “Planet Aries.”
It’s been a big week for London-based Aries, with the opening of its “Planet Aries” store and the unveiling of a New Balance collaboration. The joint 990v3 sneaker is Aries’ second footwear release, following a capsule with Vans back in 2017, and sees a number of twists on the classic grey colorway of the 990.
The standout feature of the sneaker is the flashes of color on its heel, with the grey upper contrasted with touches of red, yellow and blue. Other detailing includes a diamond pattern across the tongue, “ARIS3” embroidered branding on the heel, and a custom footbed. Take a look at the collaboration above, and expect it to drop exclusively at the “Planet Aries” pop-up on May 17.
