Meek Mill Defeats Drake, Future, Dr. Dre and Kendrick Lamar for Top Rap Album at 2016 Billboard Awards
Wanna know.

Las Vegas was host to the 2016 Billboard Music Awards this year, and as expected, a large portion of nominations went to artists who spent considerable amounts of time on the top Billboard charts this past year. A relatively small number of hip-hop acts were represented at this year’s show, though there were still a few award-winners. One of the night’s more unexpected results came in the category of Top Rap Album, where the award was given to Meek Mill‘s Dreams Worth More Than Money. The Philly rapper beat out Drake’s If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late, Drake and Future’s What a Time to Be Alive, Dr. Dre’s Compton, and Kendrick Lamar’s To Pimp a Butterfly. Check out some of the night’s other winners here via Billboard.
