Kanye West Invited to African Slave Ports
By a Nigerian lawmaker.

Following his controversial comments regarding slavery during a recent TMZ interview, rapper/designer Kanye West has now been invited to visit slave ports in Africa by a Nigerian lawmaker.
According to CNN, Nigerian local lawmaker Senator Shehu Sani extended this invite after the rapper stated, “When you hear about slavery for 400 years, for 400 years?! That sounds like a choice. Like, you was there for 400 years and it was all of y’all?” Sani’s goal in the visit is to educate Kanye on the slave trade and hopes he “experience[s] the choices in chains.”
The Senator extended the invitation through his personal social media accounts this morning. “If Kanye West thinks Slavery was a choice, we will offer him a free ticket & tour guide to visit slave routes and camps in Badagry Lagos, Ouida Benin Republic, Ghana & Goree Island in Senegal to ‘experience the choices in chains’.” He wrote. “Kanye defecated on the graves of victims.”
Kanye’s comments have also caused backlash in the industry, with artists such as Snoop Dogg taking a stand. The iconic rapper recently Photoshopped “The New Kanye West” as “All White” even after West tried to clarify his slavery comments.
