Jamie Isaac Gives Passionate Performance in "Maybe" Video
The visual is directed by Alexander Rowland.
Jamie Isaac drops the video for “Maybe,” a new single off his second album, (04:30) Idler:. The Alexander Rowland-directed video follows Jamie as he sings throughout the Brasserie Zédel in London. Isaac “wanted it to be a lonely and an almost Brewster’s Millions scenario; in a nice hotel, by yourself, walking around—just being a bit surreal,” he told Noisey. He previously released “Doing Better” and “Wings” as singles off the forthcoming LP.
(04:30) Idler: chronicles a personal struggle with sleep that inspired the album’s title, “04:30” referring to the kind of fidgety, maddening early hour at which much of the album was composed. “It’s the music I’ve always been in to,” he explains. “I’ve always loved that vulnerability. I know people around me who make music that is really aggressive, and they tell me I should, but I like to keep it romantic sounding. Taking personal struggles and personifying them.”
