FOSS Gives the ASICS GEL-Mai a Splash of Sunshine
“Development Sunrize” offers a bold, contrasting colorway.
After joining forces to celebrate FOSS Gallery’s first anniversary, the Beijing-based agency has once again linked with ASICS for a collaborative sneaker. This time, the pair rework the emergent GEL-Mai silhouette in “Development Sunrize,” wrapping the sneaker in bi-color suede. Offering orange hues on one half and muted earth shades on the other, the sneaker is intended to evoke the sunrise in the 10-year-old company’s newer Chaoyang outpost, which turns two years-old in July. More subtle detailing comes in the form of “X” and “F” characters embossed into the left and right shoes, respectively, reflecting FOSS’s decade in business.
The “Development Sunrize” GEL-Mai will launch at FOSS’s Chaoyang store on May 26 before releasing through ASICS Tiger stores across greater China.
Most recently, the GEL-Mai emerged in an ultra-clean “Triple-White” colorway.
