Flying Lotus Goes Metal For "You and Your Friends Are Dead" & "North Star3"

Flying Lotus is on a roll right now. After months of laying low as a recording artist, the Brainfeeder virtuoso is back to releasing new records. After rejuvenating the Twin Peaks theme song and sharing a new composition titled “Night Grows Pale,” FlyLo takes to SoundCloud once more to unleash a pair of productions. This time around, we’re being treated to two records — which also feature Thundercat’s inimitable abilities — that might have been cooked up during the You’re Dead! studio sessions: “North Star3” and “You and Your Friends Are Dead.” The former unfolds like a sort of jazzy, melodic rock interlude, while the latter wouldn’t sound out of place on an LP from The Dillinger Escape Plan (RIP) or another technical metal act.
