TAKAHIROMIYASHITA TheSoloist. Reworks Converse Japan's Jack Purcell Silhouette
In tribute to Kurt Cobain.
Japanese label TAKAHIROMIYASHITA TheSoloist. has linked up with Converse Japan for a new blacked-out take on the classic Jack Purcell silhouette. The collaboration was initially worn during the brand’s Spring/Summer 2018 show at Amazon’s Tokyo Fashion Week, and comes in a canvas and rubber construction with printed text across both shoes.
The canvas tongue features the phrase “I AM THE SOLOIST.” on each foot, while the rubber toe cap bears the words “WE WILL ALWAYS” on the left foot and “LOVE YOU, KURT” on the right, in tribute to Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain. The collaboration is set to release on May 25 via Amazon Fashion’s “AT TOKYO.”
