After breaking the hearts of sneakerheads by dismantling a Sean Wotherspoon x Nike Air Max 1/97, artist @rudyindahouse_ recently dismantled yet another hyped sneaker. This time around Rudy Lim used his deconstruction prowess to dissect Virgil Abloh‘s original “THE TEN” Air Jordan 1 collaboration.

Aggressively moving away from the reconstructed theme of Abloh’s team up with Nike, the video shows the artist dismantling the sneaker with surgeon-like precision. Beginning with removing the tongue, the dissection process kicks up as the intricately stitched panels start to come off one at a time with the help of a sharp X-Acto knife. Once all the overlay panels are removed hot water is used to separate the upper from the sole unit of the shoe. Finally, all the pieces that makeup Virgil Abloh’s hyped Air Jordan 1 collaboration, including the signature zip tie, are laid out on the flattened shoebox and displayed proudly on a sneaker wall.

Watch the dissection video above and let us know what you think.

In case you missed it, Virgil Abloh and Nike may have another Air Max 97 coming in a “Rose” colorway.
