Paria Farzaneh Showcases Hand-Printed Patterns from Fall/Winter 2018
SHOWstudio explores the runway highlight.
Emerging designer Paria Farzaneh has garnered acclaim for channeling her Iranian heritage into each season’s designs. For Fall/Winter 2018, Farzaneh crafted garments from a textile emblazoned with hand-printed woodblock designs, and she visited SHOWstudio to discuss the process. Looking at a padded coat and the matching pants, Farzaneh walks viewers through the intimate process of creating the pattern, even showing a video of a craftsman preparing the stamp. The young designer continues, explaining the design process behind the garments and detailing how it relates to her family.
