Metropolitan Goes Graphic for Second Drop of 2018
The heritage skatewear brand offers up locally-sourced tees.

Following up on the brand’s first release of 2018, Metropolitan is back with more retro-minded skatewear. Keith Hufnagel‘s revived label offers up more graphic goods, including a selection of “Metropolitan USA”-detailed hats, hoodies and tees. First established in 1994, Metropolitan went defunct two years later after providing an alternative to Spitfire Wheels. Hufnagel and co. reintroduced the brand in 2016 with a focus on clothing, sourcing its goods from local providers. White embroidery contrasts against solid-tone pullovers and caps, which range from dark shades to pastel yellow, while another T-shirt features a tongue-in-cheek print of McDonald’s mascots, offering a humorous contrast to the other low-key goods.
The collection launches via Metropolitan’s webiste on April 5.
Elsewhere, long-time street label Stüssy celebrated the opening of its latest Honolulu chapter.
