A.P.C. Joins Dad Shoe Trend for Spring/Summer 2018
Arguably the most refined chunky runner yet.
After images of Balenciaga‘s latest chunky runner surfaced last week, with another look emerging yesterday, one may think there’s nowhere else for the trend to go. That would be incorrect, as A.P.C. drops its own take on the trendy silhouette. First introduced late last year, the shoe is offered in three muted colorways appropriate for the French brand’s low-key clothing and sees little detailing aside from patterned laces and “A.P.C.” branding on the tongue and heel pull tab. Minimal panels are executed in complementary shades of grey, tan and white, white suede and grain leather ensuring that the shoe is as quietly sturdy as the brand’s clothing.
The sneakers are currently available on A.P.C.’s website; stay tuned for a wider Western release as the weather heats up.
Elsewhere, Balenciaga has reintroduced its now-iconic Triple S in a new “Bred” colorway.
