Lil Wayne Release Skate Video With Unreleased Music
Could fans get new Weezy music soon?
With Tha Carter V still in limbo, Lil Wayne released a compilation video showing off his skateboarding skills. The interesting thing about the video, outside of Wayne’s skate tricks, is the unreleased music played in the background. Fans are speculating that the title of the unreleased song is “Hercules,” however Genius pointed out that some of the lyrics are re-used from Weezy’s feature on DJ Khaled’s “No Motive” song from Khaled’s 2013 album Suffering From Success.
“Niggas biting my style, Hope it gets stuck in their teeth/ I been had the green light/ Now please don’t jump in the street/ Se la vi, oui oui oui, Watch me french kiss the sky/ Then ask, “What is that smell?”, That’s the shit on my mind,” Weezy spits.
It’s unknown what Wayne’s plans are, but Nicki Minaj slipped up during her Zane Lowe interview and said that while she was recording her upcoming album in Miami, Lil Wayne was recording for his LP. Whether that’s Tha Carter V or something new, it will be interesting to see what’s next. Wayne and Birdman seem to be on decent terms right now, but their legal battle is still in process.
Check out the new Weezy song around the :52 second mark above.
