While fans continue to wait patiently until the final season of Game of Thrones arrives next year, a new video analogy from ScreenPrism may help to hold them over until 2019.

Running at a solid 13 minutes in length, the video above explores GoT‘s mesmerising visual effects and the reasons why it has been able to capture audiences since its premiere back in 2011. The video also breaks down the tricks and techniques used by the show’s visual effects artists, and how they bring the mind-blowing world of Game of Thrones to life.

The final season of GoT is slated to be an epic farewell for fans, as battle scenes taking 55 nights to film can be looked forward to. George R.R. Martin also recently announced the release date for his his new Game of Thrones book, Fire & Blood.
