Originally revealed as part of Nike’s “Art of a Champion” collection which debuted earlier this month, we now are ready to take a closer look at the Air Jordan 28 “Locked And Loaded.” The unique high-top sneaker honors Ray Allen’s clutch three-point shot against the San Antonio Spurs in the 2013 NBA Finals to help send the game into overtime — leading the Miami Heat to the eventual Game 6 win.
Sporting a predominantly black color scheme with both white and gold speckled accents seen throughout, its extended ankle collar can be folded down to reveal the numbers “9” and “5” on opposing sides — referencing the 95-point effort the Heat poured in to close out the series in the decisive seventh game. Priced at $200 USD, this new Jordan Brand model will make its debut at select retailers on May 12.
Speaking of Jordan Brand, here is an update on the Air Jordan 5 “Bred” release date.
