Burial Remixes Goldie for Record Store Day
Getting in touch with both artists’ hardcore roots.
Burial has returned, kind of. Metalheadz has released a rare remix of Goldie’s “Inner City Life,” especially for Record Store Day. The six-minute remix sees the elusive electronic music producer getting back in touch with his hardcore roots, while also ramping up vocals to angelically high pitches. The result is a piece of music that is both respectful of the drum-and-bass classic while also managing to sound modern.
The single will drop on Record Store Day, April 22, and will feature Goldie’s own 2017 rework of the track, as well.
