The Hypebeast Community Gets Ready for the Release of Sony Pictures’ ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’
Staying on the ball of fashion and film with the collaborative Art Of jersey.
Earlier this month, Sony Pictures and British label Art Of revealed a one-off jersey to celebrate Spider-Man: Brand New Day, grabbing the attention of its biggest fans ahead of the film’s release, exclusively in theatres at the end of July.
The commemorative piece, unveiled in a Hypebeast Unboxing video, features several Spider-Man-inspired motifs, including a web pattern, an embroidered Spider-Man mask, and a small patch inspired by the film’s city backdrop. Together with the graphic detailing, Art Of introduced a fold-over collar and sporty panelling to give the shirt a retro look.
Continuing to explore the fusion of football and film, Anas Boukami and Keisuke Asano captured the jersey in their neighborhoods. Having won several medals in street football, content creator Boukami turned his skills to new Spider-Man-inspired moves while adorning the lightweight shirt. For his video, Asano brings Hypebeast in for a closer look at his morning as a model and photographer, beginning at his home studio before heading out to his local stomping ground for an early kick-about.
Hot off football’s biggest tournament, the jersey also went on to be showcased at the Hypebeast Cup pop-up in SoHo, New York. Along with the other fashion and footwear products available at the space, a limited run of 40 jerseys were handed out to customers last weekend.
