Air Jordan 9 “Melo" Commemorates Carmelo Anthony's 2003 Syracuse Victory
Foreshadowing the NBA player’s glorious career.

Before he became a star player for the New York Knicks and Oklahoma City Thunder, Carmelo Anthony was a basketball prodigy for Syracuse University’s team. During his freshman year, Anthony broke records as the MVP for the victorious win of Syracuse’s first and only National Championship title back in 2003.
To commemorate this day in basketball history, Jordan Brand is releasing a trophy-inspired Air Jordan 9 sneaker, dubbed “Melo.” The shoe sports a predominately white upper with gold and brown accents as well as a heel slapped with “15,” Melo’s player number.
