Dunkin' Donuts Introduces Donut Fries
The Everyman’s Cronut?
Dunkin’ Donuts is looking to give its brand a little bit of a re-up. Having recently teamed up with Saucony on a collaborative Kinvara 9 sneaker model, the American morning grub company is now dipping into the hybrid food trend, serving up what will be known as Donut Fries.
The cinnamon sugar-dusted sweet treat will be part of Dunkin’ Donuts’ new $2 USD snack menu, which will debut sweet and savory snacks such as Munchkin dippers, waffle breaded chicken tenders, pretzel bites and brownies. Currently, the menu is only available in Boston, in its testing phase, but customers are already showing positive reviews. “The test is designed to gather valuable feedback from consumers, franchisees and their employees to help inform future decisions about a possible national rollout,” a Dunkin Donuts spokesperson told The Independent.
Let us know if you’ve tried the Donut Fries, your thoughts, and whether or not you’d like to see a larger stateside release in the comments below. In related news, Krispy Kreme debuted Homer Simpson’s Iconic Pink-Glazed “D’ohnut”.
