Two New Virgil Abloh x Nike Air Max 97 Colorways Could Be Releasing
Abloh season.
Hot on the heels of news about the potential colorway of Virgil Abloh’s next Air Max 90, more info has surfaced regarding another collaborative release. This time, the Air Max 97 is the focus of the drop.
When “The Ten” first appeared, Abloh‘s updated 97 bore a clean, deconstructed white upper and matching Air outsole. The upcoming pair, however, supposedly takes things in a new direction according to sneaker insider account @py_rates. A nearly all-black colorway is almost the exact inverse of the original, while the other sneaker boasts hits of Wolf Grey/Menta, contrasting the new shades with a recognizable white upper.
No word from Nike about the veracity of the information, but look for the reworked pair of 97s to release in November 2018. For now, check out some mock-ups below. Meanwhile, Abloh recently released a photo that teased the possibility of the collaborative “White” Air Jordan 1 with a visible Air unit.
