Shannon Sharpe Talks Trading Tickets for Shoes on 'Sneaker Shopping'
He also reveals what “ruined” the sneaker game.
Following appearances from Birdman and the Houston Rockets’ P.J. Tucker, Complex‘s popular Sneaker Shopping series shines the spotlight on Shannon Sharpe‘s passion for shoes for its latest episode.
“I like a lot of peoples’ shoes,” Sharpe tells Sneaker Shopping host Joe La Puma. Elsewhere, the NFL Hall of Famer and Undisputed host breaks down the backstories behind some of his favorite sneaker-related possessions and shares his thoughts on the current footwear market. “The bot system has kind of ruined it for everyone,” Sharpe explains. “They say they’re ‘sold out,’ then 20 minutes after the sale you see somebody in the room with 50 pairs of shoes … Nike and other companies said they’re trying to combat that, but when they have a mass release, they don’t care if somebody buys 300 pairs — they just want the shoe gone. It just kills the market.”
