Earlier this year, A-COLD-WALL* took to the runways of London Fashion Week to present its Fall/Winter 2018 lineup — amassing a comprehensive range of functionally-focused fits. The luxury label’s frontman, Samuel Ross, recently sat down with SHOWstudio to further elaborate on the collection itself, while touching on his educational background and stylistic influence.

Listen in as the multifaceted artist discusses his specific vision for the brand, which includes a conscious effort to reference brutalist structures and asymmetrical shapes when devising collection wares. In looking back at his Fall/Winter 2018 Fashion Week showcase, Ross taps into the technical nature of the garments and the interchangeable elements running central throughout — offering its wearer multiple options in how pieces can be worn.

From his graphic design background and time spent assisting Virgil Abloh at DONDA to his artistic visions and personal design dynamics, check out his conversation with SHOWstudio above.
