The relationship between the two brands goes back further than their shared Nike ownership, with Michael Jordan himself stepping out in a pair of Converse Fastbreaks in the 1984 Olympic final — this pair sold for a record $190,373 USD.

There is also speculation about the format that the capsule will take, with suggestions that it could be a joint release — similar to last summer’s “Alumni Pack” — rather than an actual collaboration.

In other footwear news, Spike Lee’s Air Jordan Son of Mars Low “Toro” has a release date.
