The Nike Big City Huarache Resurfaces With New Colorway
A fresh overhaul for the ’90s runner.

First surfacing in “Black/Gum” in January, Nike‘s Big City Huarache reappears in a previously-unseen colorway. This iteration’s pale blue shades allow the sneaker’s details and various features to shine through.
A cool-hued colorway informs the sneaker, which updates the original Air Huarache base with a slightly different shape and variety of new eye-catching features. Most notably, of course, the shoe does away with laces, replacing them with a large Nike-branded strap that wraps around the front and rear of the shoe. This adjustable fit is made further comfortable by dual pull tabs on front and rear of the ankle opening and the usual runner-friendly comfort afforded by the cushioned sole. Unlike the original Huarache design, however, this shoe features a midsole divided by the strap holster and black accents on the front and heel of the outsole.
No release date has been formally announced for the Big City Huarache, but we’ll keep you abreast of any new information. In the meantime, Nike continues merging the past with the present as it overhauls Roger Federer‘s Vapor RF with two classic Air Max 95 colorways: “Neon” and “Greedy.”
