Nike Brings the OG Air Max 1 Colorway to the Air Max 97
The famed “White/University Red” motif.
In celebration of Nike’s Air Max franchise, the athletic label is adorning the beloved Air Max 97 silhouette with the classic “White/ University Red” colorway. The timeless motif is popularly observed on the original Air Max 1 model which made its debut nearly three decades ago. As for the AM97 take, the low-top runner’s mudguard is drenched in the bold red hue while metallic silver tones embellish its signature piping on the medial and lateral sides. To top it all off, the shoe receives generous white accents on the upper and midsole while tonal black wraps the outsole for a clean finish.
Official release details have yet to be announced, but stay tuned for updates on this colorway and let us know if it’s on your radar. Each pair will cost you approximately $160 USD. Not long ago, Nike unveiled an Air Max 97 rendition comprised of red, grey, white, and black tones.
