Nike Teases Deconstructed Air Jordan 1 With Zipper
Goodbye laces.

While some retailers have begun cracking down on Virgil Abloh x Air Jordan 1 “White” resellers, Nike is gearing up to launch a new deconstructed Air Jordan 1. Two ultra-clean iterations of the Air Jordan 1 High have been stripped down and zippered up.
The women’s exclusive “Zip” model lives up to its name — it replaces the familiar laced vamp with a full-length golden zipper, with the simplified closure and rear pull tab making the sneaker easy to pull on. With no eyelets, contrasting panels or medial side Swoosh, the white and black iterations both offer simplified detailing that complements the sleek zipper detail. Aside from the usual Air Jordan 1 embossed logo, the only immediately obvious branding is a red “Nike Air” flag on the side of the tall shoes’ ankle opening.
Mark your calendar for the sneaker’s launch on March 8. Most recently, The Shoe Surgeon introduced his own luxe take on the Virgil Abloh x Air Jordan 1 “White,” crafting the sneaker from premium snakeskin.
