Public School and Nike reunited on a collaborative Air Force 1 silhouette late last year, reimagining the classic sneaker with premium leather, bespoke details, and deconstructionist touches. Now, we bring you a closer look at the yet-to-be-released shoe.
Executed in luxe white leather, this take on the Air Force 1 high-top takes several liberties with the design. The tongue is extended, and the ankle strap is emblazoned with “PROPERTY OF PSNY NOT FOR RESALE” and relegated to accessory status. Meanwhile, the Swoosh has been ripped from its seams, with the larger part of the checkmark dangling freely. Complementing this touch, the eyestay portion has been lifted from the shoe, creating a unique 3D effect. Black co-branding on the tongue and lace lock complete the exclusive sneaker.

Stay tuned, as some have speculated that the sneakers will eventually see a global release. A few celebrities have recently been spotted sporting the ultra-rare shoe; take a look at Chadwick Boseman and Justin Bieber rocking the kicks below.
Elsewhere in the world of reworked Air Forces, Nike is readying more “The 1 Reimagined” shoes, beginning with a “Violet Mist” Air Force 1 Jester.
