The Low End Theory Crew Unites for "Broadway & Daly"
One of California’s most influential modern movements.
For over a decade, Los Angeles’ Low End Theory — made up of endlessly-talented artists Daddy Kev, DJ Nobody and D-Styles — has stood as an institution for the regional music scenes. From rap to experimental electronic sounds, the weekly event has given countless acts — such ass Odd Future and the Brainfeeder team — a chance to debut their genre-bending, forward-thinking sounds. Now, teaming up with Adult Swim, Low End’s trio of in-house curators and performers unleashes a new collaborative single.
The 50th entry in the Adult Swim Singles Program, “Broadway & Daly” pays homage to the intersection where Low End Theory’s venue, the Airliner, calls home. A mix of hard-hitting boom-bap and vibrant melodies and grooves, the crew’s new record perfectly encapsulates the mix of influences that motivates them.
