Take a Dive Into the Specs of Nike's Kobe NXT 360
“The Kobe-iest Kobe yet.”

Following the introduction of Nike’s next-generation Flyknit, the Swoosh’s basketball division has provided a breakdown of the Kobe NXT 360 model. Its design sees a three-part wraparound Flyknit upper along with a drop-in dual-density midsole and outsole. The main idea behind the model was to help provide separation between the offensive player and their defender — something that’s far easier to do when footwear forms to the true shape of the foot. As a result, Nike has removed excess layers found in your traditional basketball model, allowing the wearer to feel like they aren’t wearing anything at all. This also gives a closer connection to the drop-in midsole, which heightens containment in the sneaker and reduces in-shoe movement.
Expected to arrive on April 13 at select Nike Basketball retailers, Nike’s Kobe NXT 360 looks like an apt addition to the Black Mamba’s storied signature footwear lineup.
