Maharishi Channels Classic Military Styles in New Capsule
Looking at how U.S army-inspired aesthetics have influenced everyday style.
Having released its Spring/Summer 2018 lookbook earlier this month, London-based maharishi has returned with another additional capsule. The collection is heavily inspired by military aesthetics, with the idea of upcycling vintage surplus pieces as well examining the influence of these styles on classic pieces making up the cornerstone of the capsule.
The collection features a selection of camouflage outwear pieces including the Spring Quilted Jacket — which comes with ‘false flag’ embroidery — and the Hood Inspector Fishtail Parka, which adds a split hood to a classic M-51 parka silhouette. Also featured in the collection are staple pieces — such as the brand’s Original Snopants as well as basic T-shirts, socks and side bags — which are included to highlight the military influence on everyday style. Take a look through all of the pieces above, with the capsule dropping via the maharishi web store on February 23 at 11AM GMT.
In related news, the brand recently dropped a limited-edition tee to mark the release of Richard Russell’s Everything Is Recorded project.
