Hedi Slimane's Personal Saint Laurent Jacket Sold for $11,000 USD
As worn by Harry Styles.
Grailed has hosted some pretty incredible finds, including Gucci handcuffs from 1998 and an ultra-rare Supreme x Spalding basketball, but this may take the cake. A bespoke Saint Laurent jacket owned by Hedi Slimane, the brand’s former designer and current “artistic, creative and image director” at CÉLINE, just sold on the resale website for an eye-watering $11,000 USD.
The size 46 suede and shearling coat is earth-toned, much like the other coats produced for Saint Laurent’s Fall/Winter 2013 collection. This one is made unique by the lighter-colored fur and neck tag that designates the garment as Slimane’s own. Harry Styles befriended Slimane during the designer’s tenure at Saint Laurent and reportedly borrowed the jacket for photo shoots and recreational wear. The original version retailed for over $4,500 USD, but this unique garment ended up selling for the shocking price of $11,000 USD.
