After dropping its brutalist chunky Angel silhouette last year, Swedish label Eytys has given the shoe an update. The ’90s trail runner influence is still clear in the new version, which has been given a heavy duty canvas upper, replacing the leather and suede textures from the original drop. The Angel Canvas comes in two colorways, with one in black with contrasting cream rubber sole and the other coming in undyed, natural “Ecru,” complete with tonal soles.

Other features of the sneaker include heat-transfer detailing and heavy duty lacy hooks. The Angel Canvas also features a range of classic Eytys touches, including distorted proportions and the brand’s signature purple heel tab. The unisex sneaker is set to drop via the Eytys’ web store on February 15. The brand has also recently unveiled another chunky shoe, its Angelo loafer.
