CHVRCHES Announce 'Love Is Dead' Album With New Single, "My Enemy"
Featuring The National’s frontman, Matt Berninger.
Scottish synth-pop trio CHVRCHES have returned to announced plans to release a new studio album later this year. Titled, Love Is Dead, the project will be the Glasgow-based group’s third studio album following a three-year hiatus after releasing their acclaimed 2015 effort, Every Open Eye. In conjunction with the album news, the group also shared the LP’s first official single today entitled, “My Enemy.” In addition, The National’s lead singer Matt Berninger also appears on the album’s first single which can be heard above.
Meanwhile, Love Is Dead is tentatively set to arrive on May 25 via Glassnote Records and will feature 13 tracks in total. They’ll be joined by Grammy Award-winning producer Greg Kurstin who reportedly produced 9 of the 13 tracks, and his contributions will also mark the group’s first time working with a producer outside of their camp, stay tuned.
