Nike is set to offer up another colorway to the throwback Air Swoopes 2. While we saw the earlier Black/Red/White and Black/Blue/White colorways (somehow sparking up memories of the 1996 NBA Eastern Conference Finals), the latest colorway drops all colors and opts for the simple shades of Black/Grey/White.

In true mid-’90s Nike basketball fashion, this pair of Air Swoopes 2 features panels and material that are all associated to that era of sneakers — think the Nike Air Zoom Flight 95 and 96, or even Damon Stoudamire’s Nike Air Turbulence. The sneaker features nubuck leather mixed with synthetic material, a large ZOOM AIR midsole, and a carbon shank. The shoe is mainly characterized by its large basketball inlay at the heel, metal ring pull tab, and intricate padded-tongue lacing system — complete with plastic toggle lace lock.

As this is the WNBA star Sheryl Swoopes’ signature model, we can expect that the first batch will be available only in women’s sizing. Hopefully enough people request larger sizes, as these shoes are a thing of beauty. Those able to fit in the current size-run for women’s can expect these to drop in the coming months for a retail price of $140 USD.
