Beating Drake, Post Malone, The Weeknd, Migos and J. Cole.

Billboard‘s year-end lists, which showcase the year’s best-selling and top-streamed artists, have arrived today. Their list is based off of statistical chart performance between the dates of December 3rd, 2016 and November 25th, 2017. The Top Artists category, according to Billboard, “ranks the best- performing acts of the year based on activity on the Billboard 200 albums tally and the Billboard Hot 100 singles list, as well as streaming, social media and Billboard Boxscore data.”
Kendrick Lamar’s DAMN. takes the top spot for the Billboard 200 album chart, followed by Bruno Mars’ 24K Magic and The Weeknd’s Starboy. Drake’s More Life takes the fifth spot, Post Malone’s Stoney sits at seventh and Migos’ Culture is at eighth. Finally, J. Cole’s 4 Your Eyez Only is the tenth biggest album of the year.
Drake, however, beats Kendrick in respect to the top artists list. Drake sits at No. 3 while Kendrick follows at fourth place and The Weeknd is No. 5. In addition, Lil Uzi Vert nabs the top spot for the new artist list. Check out the Billboard year end lists here.
