Vans Vault Reunites With Taka Hayashi on Horween Leather Capsule Collection

Continuing its lengthy relationship with Taka Hayashi, Vans Vault recently teamed up once again with the Japanese creative, Taka Hayashi, on a luxe footwear capsule collection. Giving the OG Sk8-Mid LX and Old Skool LX models a luxurious makeover, the capsule focusses on quality materials and clean design. Utilizing premium leather sourced from legendary rawhide purveyor Horween Leather Company, which offers a supple quality not commonly found in footwear.
The Vans Vault x Taka Hayashi Sk8-Mid LX features a two-toned black and tan leather upper accented by heavy duty eye stays and Hayashi’s signature logo on the tongue. While the Old Skool LX found in the capsule features a simple black upper contrasted by a beige Vans stripe and white sole foxing.
No official release notes just yet, but stay tuned for more information regarding the drop of the Vans Vault x Taka Hayashi capsule collection. Also, Japanese retailer BILLY’S recently unveiled an exclusive luxurious velvet Vans Chukka collection.
