Yasiin Bey Announces His Final Shows Before Retiring
Along with a New Year’s Eve post-show party.

[gallery columns="3"]Formerly known as Mos Def, rapper Yasiin Bey recently announced special shows on the East Coast before his expected retirement in December. Bey will be performing at New York City’s Apollo Theater December 21 and at Washington D.C.’s Kennedy Center Concert Hall from December 31 till January 2. The rapper will be performing songs from a different album each night, including Black on Both Sides, The New Danger, True Magic and The Ecstatic. Though Bey has not revealed which nights he’ll be performing which album. At the shows fans can expect to hear new material and surprise guests at each show. Additionally, for the New Year’s Eve show Bey will be hosting a post-show party in the Grand Foyer of the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Upon finishing his final shows Bey will be retiring from music, relocating to Africa to focus on an arts, culture and lifestyle collective named A Country Called Earth and explore the visual arts through painting.
