Shortly after showcasing its FW18 collection “Atmosphere,” Brazilian brand Piet makes its runway debut during São Paulo’s 46th Fashion Week. Designer Pedro Andrade has been hailed as one of the most influential figures in bringing Brazilian streetwear to the forefront. While he updated a few references in preparation of his inaugural Fashion Week appearance, the brand’s core identity remains. The collection is titled “Montanha,” (which translates to “mountain” in Portuguese) and pays tribute to Piet’s first logo which is displayed in various graphics throughout the collection.

Andrade also drew inspiration from outdoor sports and gear including hiking and mountaineering, combining technical elements with more tailored silhouettes. The consolidation resulted in traditional fabrics like wool and linen, fusing with Cordura nylon, while neutral hues of black, white and khaki contrast against bright neons.

Also featured in the set were Piet’s collaborations with sportswear heavy hitters like Nike, Champion, Starter and Converse.

“Less than 6 years ago, I was designing T-shirts for some friends, and today I will parade in one of the main fashion weeks of the world. It’s not just a big step for Piet, but for National Streetwear, ” stated Andrade.

Take a look at the full collection above and head over to Piet’s website to learn more.
