Major Lazer Reconnects With MØ on New Soundtrack, 'Give Me Future'
Could this be “Lean On” 2.0?
Major Lazer is looking to make history again with MØ, who if you recall, was famously featured on Major Lazer’s smash hit “Lean On” alongside DJ Snake. Shortly after its release in 2015, the record became Spotify’s most streamed record of all-time, surpassing Ed Sheeran’s mega-hit, “Thinking Out Loud.”
Today, after becoming the first big U.S. act to perform in Cuba since they restored diplomatic ties, the music trio connect with MØ for Give Me Future — a lively, island-rhythm dancehall-pop cut that carries a familiar uplifting energy reminiscent of their previous work on “Lean On.”
