RZA's Azealia Banks-Starring Movie Gets Official Release Date
Common and Method Man will also feature in the musical drama.
Never one to be caught resting, the ultra-prolific RZA has now announced details for his latest project — a film that will star Azealia Banks and Common. Love Beats Rhymes – an update from its original title of Coco — will also star Method Man, Jill Scott, Lucien Laviscount, and Hana Mae Lee.
First announced back in 2016, there’s still very few concrete details about the film. However, an IMDB synopsis gives us something small to work with, offering that “an aspiring hip-hop artist discovers the world of slam poetry.”
Love Beats Rhymes will be available digitally and in select theaters from December 1. It’s been a busy period for RZA, who also recently announced the arrival of the Wu-Tang Clan’s latest album.
