Taro Mizutani & UNDERCOVER Unveil Shirts Celebrating Collaborative Photo Book
Based on images from several of the brand’s previous Paris shows.
Renowned photographer Taro Mizutani — spanning a period covering 2013 to 2015 — has accompanied Jun Takahashi to Paris — snapping the designer’s UNDERCOVER collections both on stage as well as behind the scenes. To commemorate the storied partnership, the duo is set to release a photo book titled “Chaos Balance,” a revolving theme associated with the Japanese imprint.
Used to accompany the photo-rich publication is a set of T-shirt and long-sleeved sweatshirt designs — bearing many of the photographs found within the book. Accompanying the imagery are the themed collections from the aforementioned timeframe, including the Fall 2013 “Anatomic Couture” collection and last winter’s “Hurt” lineup. The tops are currently available for purchase at UNDERCOVER stores and DSMs London/New York locations. For those in the Tokyo area, the book launch is scheduled for October 13.
