A Closer Look at 'Dragon Ball Z' x adidas Originals "Cell" & "Son Gohan"

The Dragon Ball Z x adidas originals collaboration rolls on with what are arguably two of the collection’s quieter models: the Prophere “Cell” and Deerupt “Son Gohan.” Unlike the immediately iconic “Goku” Vs. “Friza” drop and reptilian EQT Support Primeknit “Shenron”, this release centers around two slightly less-buzzy models — though securing a pair will likely not be an easy feat.
Offering textural blue, black and green stitching across a Primeknit upper, the Prophere “Cell” is anything but understated, with a bold off-white midsole helping to balance the bold detailing above. A burgundy suede patch towards the heel adds a muted break from the rest of the tonal detailing, which includes a green cage, laces and tongue. Meanwhile, the Deerupt “Son Gohan” is almost entirely tonal, with a woven purple cage surrounding the entirety of the upper and black midsole. Yellow accenting can be seen beneath, matching the stitching around the ankle opening and the 魔 (“ma,” or “demon”) kanji printed on the heel. A yellow panel on the midsole compliments the gum outsole, which is interspersed with purple hues from the upper.
