Bob Marley's Son Is Transforming a California Prison Into a Cannabis Factory
“If this project helps people and it’s used for medicinal purposes and inspires people, it’s a success.”

[gallery columns="3"]This could very well a first in the cannabis industry. During a recent interview with Billboard, Bob Marley’s youngest son, Damian Marley, shared some insight on the decriminalization of cannabis and told the interview he had plans on transforming the California State prison into a growing spot for medical marijuana. The young reggae artist says he plans on teaming up with the Ocean Grown Extracts company to make this all happen.
“Many people sacrificed so much for the herb over the years who got locked up…If this project helps people and it’s used for medicinal purposes and inspires people, it’s a success.”
Damian Marley’s manager Dan Dalton also chimed in on the discussion:
“Cannabis is something that’s around Damian every day with friends, family and with his Rastafarian faith. We’ve watched people who have sacrificed their lives for it. That injustice has motivated us to be advocates as well as knowing that there are healing properties in cannabis.”
This could be huge (no pun intended) if it happens. Read the full interview here.
